Cigna 100 Work-From-Home Jobs Available

Cigna 100 Work-From-Home Jobs Available Earlier this month, Amazon made waves when it announced that it was hiring for 5,000 new part-time, work-from-home positions in 2018. Well, if you were not able to snag one of those positions, or are instead looking for full-time work, we have some good news for you: Cigna, the health care insurance company, confirmed to RealSimple.com that as of April 21, 2017, 100 work-at-home positions were available in the company. The majority of available positions are full-time and offer benefits like medical, dental, and vision plans. Eligible jobs also offer a 401k with up to 4.5 percent company match, both short and long-term disability, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, as well as commuter benefits and other work/life balance arrangements. While some of the jobs (Nurse Case Managers, for example) require clinical experience and certifications, many don’t. If you’re looking to enter the healthcare field from another sector, you’ll be pleased to know that Cigna is hiring in fields such as IT, business operations, and salesâ€"all fields that have opportunities that don’t require health care experience. A representative from Cigna noted that even some roles that aren’t posted as “Work at Home” may offer flexibility with working a day or two at home each week, depending on job requirements. To apply, visit www.cigna.com/careers and use the advance search feature to select the “work at home” opportunity filter. A Cigna representative does note that you should carefully read the job descriptionsâ€"as some opportunities do require you to reside in a certain region of the company. Cigna has a long history of hiring employees to work at homeâ€"according to the company, more than 30 percent of positions in the U.S. are designated as work-at-home. In 2017, Cigna ranked 74 on Flexjobs’s 100 top companies for remote jobs for the number of work-from-home positions it was hiring. This story originally appeared on Real Simple.

3 Powerful Ways To Unlock The Hidden Job Market - Work It Daily

3 Powerful Ways To Unlock The Hidden Job Market - Work It Daily Here are 3 ways to unlock the hidden job market: The hidden job market is a rich source of job openingsâ€"statistics usually say that anywhere from 70%-80% of all jobs are never listed. Unlocking this source of jobs is a must for anyone who wants to find a job quickly without spending months in the hunt. Related: In A Job Search? Why You Must Tap The Hidden Job Market Here is the basic fact you must know about unlocking the hidden job market: you’re not looking for the job. You’re looking for the person with the power to give you the job. This is a big difference that most job seekers miss, but it is crucial to your success. Here are 3 ways to unlock the hidden job market: 1. Tap Your Network Who would you rather go on a date with? Someone you ‘met’ online, or someone your friend introduced you to? Of course, you’d feel more comfortable with the friend of a friend. Hiring is a lot like dating in that way. Hiring managers would rather speak with someone a friend knows and recommends over someone who showed up via a Monster ad. This is why networking is so important for your job search. If you’ve built and maintained a good network, now is when it will really pay off. Let everyone know that you’re looking for a jobâ€"not only your business contacts, but your social ones, too. I know someone who got a job through a conversation with his barista, because she had another customer who told her he was looking for someone. She passed along this guy’s information, and he got the job. So when I say everyone, I mean everyoneâ€"because you never know. 2. Tap Your Online Contacts Social media is a must for finding hidden jobs. Let all of your Facebook friends know you’re looking for a new job, and Tweet about it, too. Especially use LinkedIn. Participate in groups, make new contacts, and leverage the power of your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level connections. This gives you much more reach than your direct network, no matter how extensive it may be. 3. Contact Hiring Managers Networking is good, but even that is not enough. If 70%-80% of all job openings are hidden, there’s no way you can find them all without one more stepâ€"contacting hiring managers. The hiring manager at a company is the person who would be your boss, or your boss’s boss. This person is the first one who knows they’re going to be hiring someone, and if you catch them before they post it online, you immediately knock out a lot of competition for the job. Use all three of these options. Each one gives you a much better chance of getting an interview than applying for jobs online. If you know you need more direction with this (or you just want to move quickly to find a job), check out my Hidden Jobs Finder. It’s a foolproof system I developed to help job seekers get interviews. It will not only help you find the names and contact information you need, it gives you sample messages proven to get good responses from hiring managers.
